Overview
Beautora is a mobile beauty-commerce marketplace designed for people who want better guidance while they shop. It brings skincare, haircare, perfumes, and personal-care products into one experience, with an intelligent assistant that helps users discover products suited to their needs.
The app combines the breadth of a marketplace with the intimacy of a beauty advisor: more than 1,000 brands and 100,000 products are surfaced through search, discovery, and personalised recommendations. It is available on both iOS and Android, with English and Arabic support for its core audience.
The Challenge
Beauty commerce is a discovery problem as much as it is a checkout problem. The product needed to make an enormous catalogue feel personal, help users move from uncertainty to confident purchase, and keep browsing, recommendations, cart, and order flows coherent on a small screen.
The Approach
I treated the mobile product as a guided commerce journey rather than a catalogue wrapper: recommendation-led discovery, clear product context, and a conversational layer that helps users narrow down skincare, fragrance, and care choices.
The experience is designed for marketplace scale, where product breadth must not create decision fatigue. Search, categories, product cards, availability, and promotion surfaces work together so the user can move from inspiration to an informed purchase without losing context.
Bilingual support is part of the product architecture, not a translation afterthought. English and Arabic flows are considered together so the assistant, navigation, and commerce moments remain understandable and natural for the audience.
